Current Responsibility

Paul is a principal and consulting actuary with the New York office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 1988.

Experience

Paul provides actuarial services to a wide array of clients, including property and casualty insurance companies, reinsurance companies, title insurance companies, captive insurance companies, risk retention groups, self-insureds, insurance regulators, managing general agents and program administrators. Among the consulting services he provides are loss reserve analyses, statements of actuarial opinion, pricing support for programs and individual accounts, predictive modeling, rate filings, feasibility studies, and new product development.

Paul has particular expertise with specialty general liability lines (including general liability and warranty coverage for residential homebuilders and other contractors), errors and omissions coverage for various professionals, and personal lines. He is very involved in assisting clients with services related to alternative risk transfer mechanisms, including captives. Paul is also a recognized expert in the title insurance industry and provides services to many title insurance companies and organizations.

Paul has spoken at actuarial seminars on loss reserving and related topics. He is a frequent speaker at seminars sponsored by captive insurance and title insurance industry organizations. Paul authored a paper on loss reserving, which was published in the Casualty Actuarial Society Forum.
