Chankyu has participated in many projects that draw on his prior healthcare industry experience and academic training. The projects he has completed include the following:
- Developing annual Medicare Advantage bids (non-SNP, dual eligible SNP, and chronic care SNP) for several health plans since 2002
- Developing renewal rates and product design recommendations for student health plans for the past seven years
- Developing bids for state-managed Medicaid contracts on behalf of managed care organizations
- Developing cost and utilization benchmarks for hospital and physician services for commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid lines of business
- Analyzing the financial impact of proposed mandates for the California state legislature
- Performing payer parity validation by evaluating hospital and physician contracts and repricing claim data
- Participating in the development of the Milliman Health Cost Guidelines™
Prior to joining Milliman, Chankyu worked in the healthcare industry and technology sector, where he was responsible for analyzing financial data and creating internal business plans.
