Current Responsibility

Bryan is an associate actuary with the Washington, D.C., office of Milliman. He joined Milliman in 2009.

Experience

Bryan's experience includes work involving defined benefit pension plans and other post-employment benefit (OPEB) plans of the public and private sectors. He has been involved in all aspects of actuarial valuations, benefit calculations, plan projections, benefit statements, plan design studies, experience studies, and special projects for pension and OPEB plans.

Bryan works closely with the Negotiations and Restructuring Actuarial Division (NRAD) of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) to complete calculations, projections, and estimations under 26 USC § 430(k), 29 USC § 1322, 29 USC § 1362(c), 29 USC § 1363(b) and the Multiemployer Pension Reform Act of 2014. He also designs and programs interactive tools and models to assist NRAD and PBGC in its day-to-day operations and long-term internal forecasting.

Bryan's other clients have varied stakeholders, goals, and organizational structures. These clients include non-profit and for-profit corporations, international corporations, public utility and transportation companies, local governments, and the federal government.

Bryan serves on Milliman's ProVal Super User Committee, where he and a team of his colleagues find and conquer technical and complicated problems involving the valuations of defined benefit pension and OPEB plans using ProVal.
