Michelle is a consulting actuary with the Hartford office of Milliman. She joined the firm in 2010.

Experience

Michelle’s clients include employers and health benefit plan sponsors, insurers, pharmacy benefit managers, and Medicare Part D prescription drug plan sponsors. She is an expert in the prescription drug benefits space. Michelle specializes in Medicare Part D bid development, group retiree drug services, and pharmacy benefit contracting and program evaluation. Michelle’s expertise also includes pricing medical and pharmacy benefits, developing actuarial reserves, and performing experience analyses. She consults to both private and public sector plan sponsors, including individual employers as well as purchasing collectives.

Michelle has significant experience working with Medicare Part D plan sponsors in their bid development. She provides technical and strategic support related to pricing, formulary development, and analysis of ongoing performance.

Michelle assists employers, health benefit plan sponsors, and pharmacy benefit managers with pharmacy benefit program contracting and evaluation. She also supports her clients in creditable coverage testing and Retiree Drug Subsidy attestations.

Michelle coauthored the “Pharmacy Benefits in the United States” chapter in the Group Insurance textbook. She also coauthored “The ABCs of winning pharmacy benefit strategies” and “The evolving group retiree pharmacy benefits landscape” articles published to Milliman Insight.
