Current Responsibility

Craig McCulloch is a principal and leads Milliman’s Advice Technology Services business in Australia. He joined the firm in 2011.

Experience

Craig has more than 20 years of actuarial experience in the life insurance and wealth management industries and has been involved in a variety of projects in Australia, the UK, and Europe.

He has advised clients on a wide range of financial risk management issues, with particular focus in the modelling and management of complex asset-liability risks. This includes personal financial risks and the valuation and management of options and embedded guarantees. He has also advised on insurance company capital management, enterprise risk management, regulatory and economic capital issues, and developed a range of asset-liability and economic scenario generator models and services.

Prior to joining Milliman, Craig was responsible for OnePath Life’s variable annuity hedging program. Before this, he was a consultant with KPMG in Australia, Barrie and Hibbert in the UK, and was an actuary in a variety of roles in both the UK and Ireland with Standard Life.

Milliman’s Advice Technology Services goals-based advice analytical system has empowered clients through its state-of-the art algorithmic platform. Delivering personalised asset/liability analysis in real-time, the platform is used across a wide range of applications as the core analytical engine for financial planning and robo-advice systems to inform product development strategies and marketing and communication programmes.
