Conventional measures of risk and profitability aren't providing enough detailed information for long-term performance comparisons; however, economic capital modeling is evolving into an accurate and powerful risk analysis tool. Managing today's enterprise risk requires a more sophisticated, holistic approach than what has been possible using traditional models.
