According to the Indonesia Insurance Statistics published by the Financial Services Authority, the Indonesian life insurance industry has continued to grow. The life insurance industry remained profitable before tax and OCI during the third quarter of 2018. The profit was mainly driven by higher net premium income and a decrease in operating expenses but offset by higher claims and benefits and lower investment income.
