We are a global actuarial consulting practice working with clients across four continents. Our work is varied and challenging but generally focused on construction of financial models and use of such models for financial planning, mergers and acquisitions, embedded value, risk management, economic capital, principles-based valuation, product pricing, stochastic analysis, ALM, and GAAP and statutory valuation and forecasts. International work brings variety and challenge, as well as potential for modest international travel, to the position. The successful candidate will work as part of a team constructing financial models and using the output of such models to guide clients in making key financial decisions.

Requirements

• Fellow or near Fellow of Society of Actuaries (FSA). ASA required
• 4+ years of experience with a large life insurance company or consulting firm, or equivalent actuarial experience
• Willingness to occasionally travel domestically or internationally
• Willing to relocate to Seattle

Preferred Skills

• Experience with a wide variety of life and annuity product types. International experience a plus
• Knowledge of and experience with life insurance financial statements, life insurance or annuity product development, and actuarial modeling
• Familiarity with actuarial pricing and projection systems
• Energy, initiative, and project management skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong technical skills and experience with details of financial management and/or product pricing
• Willingness and aptitude for detail work
• Interest in career growth and possible future principalship
• Foreign language skills a plus, especially Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, or Chinese
