The Milliman Indianapolis Health Practice and its Pharmaceutical Consulting Group helps leading pharmaceutical companies stay informed about changing market conditions, understand their implications, and optimize strategies and tactics focused on third-party payers. The services offered by our group range from Market Assessment and Strategy Development to Tactical Execution Guidance including Payer Value Propositions, Contracting Strategies, and Pull-Through Strategies. Responsibilities
- Participate in projects that have significant impact on business goals of leading pharmaceutical companies
- Develop strategic recommendations which support decisions in such areas as sales, marketing, contracting, and product commercialization
- Interact with and present findings to senior client executives
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research projects with managed markets decision makers to:
- Understand market environments
- Test potential value propositions
- Inform strategy development
- Use decision-support modeling and quantitative analysis to understand market conditions and inform strategy development
- Create, evaluate, and refine payer value propositions
- Define or improve pull-through strategies, processes, tools, and messages
- Conduct training to maximize the effectiveness of account management personnel, field sales personnel, and others
- Build core consulting capabilities, including primary market research, analysis, problem-solving, and deliverable creation
Qualifications
- An BS or BA with a demonstrated focus in marketing or finance either through coursework or operational experience
- Strong quantitative and modeling skills, as well as experience with pharmaceutical pricing and contracting
- Finance, mathematics and marketing acumen augmented by ability think creatively while leveraging analytic output to formulate cutting edge strategies
- Prior experience or internship at pharmaceutical/biotechnology companies and/or consulting firms a plus but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft® Excel and PowerPoint
- Professional presence
- Superior problem-solving capabilities and learning agility
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Self-starter, with a team-oriented attitude
