Experience
Jim has been involved with computer processing and actuarial valuations of both private and public defined benefit pension plans. In 1987, he transferred to Milliman, where he worked on funding and accounting calculations and assisted in the preparation of actuarial valuation reports for Milliman's pension clients. He returned to Milliman Services in 1989 and is primarily responsible for Milliman's pension systems and programming work.
Jim's experience includes actuarial valuations for both private and public plans, proposed amendment cost studies, accounting expense and disclosure calculations, post-retirement medical cost projections, actuarial gain and loss analyses, actuarial experience studies, and plan termination liability calculations. He is also heavily involved in the development and validation of the major pension software systems used by Milliman.
