Current responsibility

Bob is a consulting actuary with the Dallas office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 2010.
 

Experience

Bob's areas of expertise include long-term care and other health coverages, product strategy and development, pricing, financial modeling, valuations, projections, and appraisals. He has more than 20 years of experience managing a variety of responsibilities in the long-term care health insurance industry, including:

  • Development of product strategy for several major LTC insurers
  • Development of LTC programs for several large associations
  • Pricing of various product designs for long-term care policies and riders
  • Cash-flow testing for a number of large carriers
  • Development of statutory, tax, and GAAP reserves and analysis
  • Development of critical illness program for a large association
  • Development of pricing, experience analysis, forecasting, and appraisal models
  • Development of marketing strategies for various marketing entities
Prior to joining Milliman, Bob was a senior consultant with Towers Perrin. He also worked as an executive vice president for an insurance agency specializing in sales to large associations. Prior to that he was the vice president for AEGON's Long-term Care Division, with responsibility for long-term care product design, pricing, experience analysis, compliance, marketing, valuation, forecasting, cash-flow testing, and managing relationships with both marketers and large associations.
