Current responsibility

Peter is a consulting actuary in the Amsterdam office of Milliman and joined the firm in 2011. He and his team are responsible for the non-life and health insurance activities in the Dutch office. Prior to joining Milliman, Peter worked for 15 years as consultant in the financial industry, of which five years were as an actuarial consultant within Towers Watson and three years were as a management consultant at Oliver Wyman.
 

Experience

Peter specialises in non-life and health insurance covering all areas, including pricing, product development, valuation, capital modelling, Solvency II, and mergers and acquisitions. He has performed a wide range of actuarial consulting assignments for a variety of clients, mainly European insurers. Although Peter is specialised in non-life, he is experienced in managing consulting assignments covering both life and non-life.
 

Affiliations

Peter is an active member of the Groupe Consultatif and the Dutch Actuarial Association. Over the years, he has participated in several working groups and commissions, amongst others related to the development of Solvency II.
