Missy specializes in long-term care insurance. She has expertise with in-force management, including experience analyses, financial projections, compliance issues, and state insurance department rate filings. Missy also has experience with pricing, financial reporting, valuation, and asset adequacy testing.

Missy has assisted multiple clients with experience analyses and contributed to Milliman’s internal research that analyzes industry experience to develop claim cost guidelines. In 2009, she coauthored a research report for the Society of Actuaries that studied industry experience transfers between care settings over the course of a claim.

Missy’s extensive experience with rate filings encompasses both individual and group blocks with business subject to pre- and/or post-rate stability regulation. Recently she participated in updating the rate increase section of the Academy of Actuaries Practice Note on Rate Stability Regulation.
