Current responsibility

Doug is a principal with the Portland, Oregon, office of Milliman. He has been with the firm since 1980.
 

Experience

Doug's area of expertise is retirement plans, with particular emphasis in the multiemployer field. He has provided actuarial consulting services to multiemployer plans for more than 30 years, and currently serves as the enrolled actuary for a number of multiemployer retirement plans covering participants in a variety of industries.

Doug has served as chairman of the Enrolled Actuaries Joint Program Committee and is currently on the American Academy of Actuaries Multiemployer Task Force. He is a past board member of the Portland Chapter of the Western Pension Conference.

He has taught several courses for actuaries preparing to take the enrollment examinations.
