Current responsibility

Toshiyuki Ikuma joined Milliman in 1995 and three years later became a principal, senior consultant, and Managing Director of Milliman’s Tokyo office. He became an equity principal (a senior executive partner) in July 2002 and has been a responsible member of Milliman’s Life Steering Committee and Post Release Peer Review Committee. Since January 2012, he is supporting Milliman’s Tokyo office as a principal and senior advisor.
 

Experience

Toshiyuki Ikuma has consulted to Japanese, Asian, North American, and European insurance companies with both direct writers and reinsurers, and has worked in life and nonlife areas.

His areas of expertise include product development, reinsurance, competitive strategies, capital management, actuarial appraisal, M&A, demutualization, U.S. GAAP, and embedded value reporting including EEV/MCEV development.
