Luca has more than 12 years experience working in the insurance industry, mainly in consulting, and has lived and worked in a number of insurance markets, such as the US, UK, Australia and continental Europe, including five years in Spain and Portugal.

Most recently, Luca was the director of risk programmes at Fortis Insurance, with responsibility for managing the overall rollout of risk management and Solvency II capabilities across the group.

He is an expert in Solvency II, risk management, economic valuation and economic capital.

Luca has significant experience advising insurance companies on Mergers & Acquisitions and was involved in approximately 20 major transactions in the US, UK and continental Europe. He led the actuarial work and various due diligence processes for eight M&A transactions in Spain.

Luca has also advised insurance companies on management information and financial reporting, and on product development, including variable annuities.
