Chris has more than 15 years of actuarial consulting experience. Her property and casualty experience includes loss reserving, insurance pricing, simulation modeling, and risk financing. She has worked with a wide range of clients, including traditional property and casualty insurance companies, reinsurers, captive insurance companies, risk-retention groups, self-insurers, risk pools, and state insurance departments.

Chris has assisted with the formation and ongoing operation of several alternative risk financing vehicles. She reviews captive and risk-retention group applications for state insurance departments. In addition, Chris has been involved with risk-based financial examinations of large insurance companies.

Chris has worked on other assignments such as risk transfer analyses, rate filing reviews, and experience monitoring. Chris's prior work experience included defined benefit retirement plan consulting and employee benefits financing.

Presentations and publications

Chris is a frequent speaker on the topics of alternative risk financing and actuarial analyses. She has presented for the Vermont Captive Insurance Association, Target Markets University, and the International Center for Captive Insurance Education.
