Current responsibility

Eileen is statistician with the Philadelphia office of Milliman. She joined the firm in 1982.
 

Experience

Eileen's expertise includes the application of statistical methods for solving actuarial problems, particularly in the areas of forecasting, sampling, auditing, and stop loss. Other significant projects include the application of risk adjusters to both Medicare and Medicaid risk and commercial experience. Eileen has worked extensively in the development of cost and utilization estimates by geographic area.

Eileen has participated in the development of several Milliman analytical tools-the Health Cost Guidelines Rating Structures and Area Factors and the Dental Cost Guidelines. She has also been involved with the development of the LOS Efficiency Index(tm) and the Admission Appropriateness Index(tm)-tools for evaluating the efficiency of hospital utilization. In addition, Eileen has developed tools for measuring hospital quality and the Aggregate Stop Loss Net Claims Cost Guidelines.
