Current responsibility
Bruce is a principal and the lead consultant for the Payer Value Consulting Group in the Indianapolis office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 2008.
Experience
Bruce leads a new practice group within Milliman that is solely dedicated to serving the pricing as well as payer strategy and analytic needs of biopharmaceutical, medical device, and diagnostic companies.
Bruce has 25 years of healthcare industry experience, and has spent the last few years as an external payer strategy consultant to the pharmaceutical industry. The majority of his career has been in roles where he had profit and loss responsibility for the commercialization of a pharmaceutical portfolio to different U.S. business-to-business (B2B) channels and customers. His roles have included responsibility for B2B channel strategies, payer brand marketing, contracting strategy, account management, and turnaround of a disease management subsidiary. His diverse experience spans two major pharmaceutical companies, more than 15 therapeutic classes, and strategies for most U.S. organized payer and provider groups. Examples include the following:

Due to Bruce’s broad experience with payers, therapeutics, and commercialization strategies, he is equally able to lead and develop strategic elements of a product strategy for an individual payer as well as a comprehensive portfolio strategy for a payer channel.
