Urb began his career as an actuary at United States Fidelity & Guaranty (USF&G), where he later assumed senior executive positions in the actuarial, personal lines, commercial underwriting, field operations, and reinsurance departments. He also held primary company and reinsurance executive roles at Swiss Re and Allmerica Financial. Urb's most recent position was president of Am-Re Consultants, Inc.

His experience includes:

• Companywide executive responsibility for personal lines business, commercial lines underwriting, and actuarial operations
• Development and oversight of ceded reinsurance and catastrophe management operations
• Development of property and casualty business planning and underwriting models
• Management of reinsurance brokerage/services company
• Field operating executive responsible for one-half of national company sales/marketing offices
• Reorganization and reengineering of underwriting, marketing, and actuarial operations
• Advisor/consultant to CEO and business units
• Management of major due diligence reviews related to mergers and acquisitions and operational effectiveness engagements

Urb has substantial experience in start-up, turnaround, and restructuring roles that substantially improved financial performance and client and customer support.
