Since joining Milliman, Lisa has been actively involved in a variety of projects, including a strategic evaluation of the cost/benefits of various medical management initiatives on individual health plans and the managed care industry as a whole, assessment of a Medicare risk program, and evaluations of medical management programs.

Lisa's experience prior to joining Milliman includes seven years in the managed care industry, including five years with Independence Blue Cross as the director of the Medical Cost Analysis Department. In this role, Lisa was responsible for the start-up, development, and management of a comprehensive department dedicated to the measurement, monitoring, and interpretation of medical and pharmacy costs, utilization, and quality trends and the evaluation of plan performance for all product lines including HMO, PPO, Indemnity, Medicare, and Medicaid. Lisa's other managed care experience includes development and evaluation of medical management programs for MCOs and IPAs, evaluation of TPA claims processing capabilities, due diligence evaluations of MCOs medical management operations, and strategic business planning for an IPA and MCO planning expansion.

Lisa has experience in project management and managed care operation assessments. She has collaborated extensively with actuarial and contracting staff on a variety of initiatives to:

• Project medical cost and utilization trends
  
• Develop severity adjustment models
  
• Create alternative provider reimbursement programs
  
• Develop data repositories for common data reporting
  
• Project managed an engagement to determine feasibility of an in-house pharmacy program versus a PBM
  

Lisa's direct clinical experience consists of seven years as a registered nurse in the adult critical care hospital setting.
