Current responsibility

Patty is a principal and vice president of national account management with Milliman Care Guidelines. She joined the organization in 2003 as a manager for strategic accounts.

In her current role, Patty is charged with expanding and strengthening relationships with large payor organizations through consultative account management. She works with clients to establish strategic goals, develop project plans, and implement products to ensure that the customer receives optimal value from the Milliman Care Guidelines products. She works closely with colleagues to deliver appropriate supportive services to Milliman customers.
 

Experience

Patty brings more than 25 years of healthcare industry experience to her role. Her background includes extensive work in payor, provider, and technology environments, including:

  • Strategic planning, medical staff development, physician recruitment, and retention for community hospitals and academic medical centers
  • Physician practice management and hospital/physician relations programs
  • Health plan provider relations, physician contracting, network development, and service area expansion
  • IT systems vendor selection and implementation project management for clinical systems
  • Consulting and data analysis for clinical decision-support tools
In addition, Patty has recently worked with clients to develop programs to improve both clinical quality and cost-effectiveness using evidence-based guidelines.
