Chuck’s area of expertise is property and casualty insurance, particularly ratemaking, loss reserve analysis, and financial planning. He has extensive experience in commercial lines, including professional liability, workers’ compensation, and other long-tail exposures. Beyond standard financial reporting and pricing projects, he has conducted new program feasibility studies, assisted clients in preparing for meetings with rating agencies, helped clients prepare regulatory rate filings, and projected self-insurance funding levels. Chuck has performed analyses for a variety of clients, including primary insurance providers, reinsurers, governmental agencies, and self-insured organizations.

Chuck’s particular area of focus has been in professional liability coverage. He provides continuous pricing and reserving support to a number of medical professional liability (MPL) insurers. He performs annual reserve and prospective funding analyses for a number of self-insured healthcare organizations. He worked on a major expert witness assignment for a large MPL insurer and performed market stability and cost savings analyses in regard to the creation of a state patients’ compensation fund.
