Bob has more than 16 years of actuarial experience in the healthcare industry. While away from Milliman, he was director of actuarial services for Coventry Health Care in Bethesda, Md., and previously worked with Health Net of Arizona/Intergroup and PacifiCare of Arizona.

Bob works with HMOs, Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans, health insurance carriers, and provider organizations. His client activities include:

• Product design
• Pricing and rate development
• Preparing regulatory rate filings
• Developing provider reimbursement and risk-sharing arrangements
• Analyzing feasibility of participating in Medicare and Medicaid programs
• Preparing Medicare Advantage annual filings
• Analysis of actuarial liabilities
• Forecasting
