Bill's major areas of expertise include reserving, financial forecasting and reporting, and pricing for all types of health insurance, including Medicaid, Medicare, Children and Commercial populations. His experience includes new product design and development, group and individual underwriting, evaluation of managed care networks, capitation arrangements, risk adjustment methods and risk sharing, as well as health care trend analyses. Mr. O'Brien provides consulting services to Commercial, Medicaid and Medicare health plans, provider organizations, and employer groups.

Prior to joining Milliman, Bill was a Principal with Ingenix Consulting for seven years and in independent practice for three years. Prior to that, he served as CFO and actuary for a hospital-owned health plan in central Florida.
