Current responsibility
Charlie is director of Milliman's New York Pharmaceutical practice. He has been a major proponent of what Milliman can bring to the Pharma industry for more than 12 years. He joined the New York office in 2010.
Projects focus on risk contracting, the translation of clinical benefits into economic terms for payers, understanding the payer landscape, and pharmaceutical payer strategy.Experience
Charlie has 28 years of experience in the healthcare industry, half of which has been in management consulting. He has a wide range of professional experiences in pharmaceutical marketing, account management, operations improvement, strategy, contracts and pricing, and training.
He has completed hundreds of consulting projects for healthcare clients, including:
- Vice president, The Brooks Group – A management consulting firm specializing in managed care strategy, training, and market research.
- Vice president of sales and marketing, Perform Rx – A managed Medicaid PBM owned by Keystone Mercy, the largest managed Medicaid company in the United States – Training. Increased PBM lives by 50% in two years.
- 12 years at Schering-Plough in managed care marketing, employer and payer account management, contracts and pricing, and market research.
- Price Waterhouse Coopers and Ernst & Young – Completed hundreds of hospital and healthcare planning, operations, and financial projects over eight years with both firms.
- Memorial Sloan Kettering – Hospital administrator.
