Current responsibility

Genny leads the Defined Contribution Practice for the Seattle office of Milliman. She joined the firm in 2008.
 

Experience

Genny has 25 years of experience in consulting and client relationship management working with 401(k), 457, non-qualified deferred compensation plans, and 403(b) tax-deferred annuities. She has proven her ability to uncover clients' true concerns and design solutions to meet their needs.

In the defined contribution practice, Genny coordinates new education and communication programs, develops new products and delivery methods, and maintains legislative compliance for the department. She also serves as the strategic relationship partner for several large- and medium-sized clients, and spearheads new marketing initiatives.

Genny's defined contribution retirement expertise includes extensive knowledge of the vendor marketplace, plan design consulting, regulatory and legal compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and plan transitions and conversions.

Genny's recent projects include:

  • Consulting clients regarding fiduciary due diligence with specific regard to recent legal action
  • Positioning Milliman's Defined Contribution Practice to expand in the 403(b) sector
  • Conducting vendor searches for ERISA 403(b) plans
 

Affiliations

  • Genny is currently a member of the Western Pension and Benefits Conference. She served on the organization's Spring Conference Committee in 2001, and as the Director of Programs for the organization's Spring Conference in 2002.
  • Genny is also a member of the Northwest Human Resource Association. She served as the Programs Director for monthly luncheons in 1999 and as a board member in 2000.
 

Education

  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP), pursuing certification. Successfully passed all required modules including: General Principles of Financial Planning, Insurance Planning and Risk Management, Employee Benefit Planning, Investment Planning, Income Tax Planning, Retirement Planning, and Estate Planning.
