Prior to joining Milliman, Darrell served as the product line manager for individual accident and health products for GE Financial Assurance. In that role, he was responsible for the pricing and management of individual health products, including senior products (Medicare supplement, etc.), supplemental products (accident, specified disease, etc.), and specialty products (such as critical illness). He also has extensive experience in the development of long-term care products.

Darrell's primary area of concentration is in the development of products for the senior market, such as long-term care, Medicare supplement, and critical illness. He has extensive experience in all aspects of the management of individual health products, including pricing and product development, market introduction strategy, contract development, rate filing, and experience analysis. His previous experience as director of marketing, and later as regional sales director, for a major regional payroll deduction company provided Darrell with valuable insights into the entire marketing and sales process and enhanced his approach to product development.
