C. Stephen Taylor - Claims Management Consultant


Current responsibility

Steve has been a claims management consultant with the New York office of Milliman since 1992. While at Milliman, he has conducted claim reviews and case reserved claims for insurers, self-insured employers, self-insurance groups, and state funds in all US states for most property and casualty lines.
 

Experience

Steve has a diverse background of technical and managerial experience in all areas of claims management, insurance, and human resources. As the claims manager for a major subsidiary of a Fortune 500 corporation, Steve was responsible for direct administration of all state and federal workers' compensation and other statutory benefits, including related investigations and litigation.

While associated with a major insurance company as a state claims manager, Steve was responsible for the direct administration of all aspects of casualty, property, and workers' compensation claims.

 

Affiliations

  • Steve has held chairmanships and committee posts in the West Virginia Self-Insured Association, the Virginia Coal Association, and the West Virginia Coal Association.
  • He was a former member of the Kentucky Claims Managers Council, the South Carolina Claims Managers Council, and the National Claims Managers Council.
