Current responsibility

Bruce is a Principal and consulting actuary in the Chicago office of Milliman and joined the firm in 1975.
 

Experience

Bruce advises clients in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, strategic and financial planning, marketing and product development, asset/liability management, and other general management issues. He also assists regulators and guaranty associations in such areas as analysis of reserve adequacy and rehabilitation of troubled companies. Bruce is an expert witness for testimony on rehabilitations, acquisitions, shareholder valuation, and corporate taxes.

  • Bruce is a participant in various professional activities, including past membership on the American Academy of Actuaries Financial Reporting Committee.
  • He is also a past president of the Chicago Actuarial Association.
 

Presentations and publications

  • Bruce speaks frequently at industry and professional meetings. He has presented seminars to the Society of Actuaries on mergers and acquisitions and managing life company profitability and capital.
  • Among Bruce's publications are papers on life mergers and acquisitions for the Practicing Law Institute.
