Current responsibility

Laird is a Principal and consulting actuary with the Chicago office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 1991.
 

Experience

Laird specializes in the area of mergers and acquisitions involving life insurance companies. He has consulted for buyers or sellers in approximately half of the largest transactions in the US since 1990, consisting of more than 40 transactions with a total value in excess of $75 billion. In addition, Laird has offered extensive consulting services in the areas of financial planning and capital management, US GAAP issues including Purchase GAAP, asset/liability and risk management, and strategic planning. Laird has also consulted on a number of the largest insurance transactions in Japan and Korea.
