Current Responsibility

AJ Ally is a pharmacy management consultant with the Chicago-Milwaukee health practice of Milliman. He joined the firm in 2019.


AJ brings nearly 20 years of experience in pharmacy and managed care. AJ has deep expertise in the pharmacy supply chain, PBM pricing strategies, formulary rebates, specialty pharmacy, Medicare Part D, and employer benefit programs.

He has held various leadership roles within the PBM, managed care, and pharmaceutical industry. AJ’s track record to advance a company’s capabilities, bringing a higher level of strategic and analytical discipline to understand the customer, has resulted in new solutions within the pharmacy benefit industry. Most recently, AJ was Vice President for DST Pharmacy Solutions with responsibility for building and leading the clinical organization. His last role was focused on commercializing formulary rebates and pricing strategy for the payer market segments. Prior to DST, AJ was Vice President at CVS Health where he led the market strategy groups to develop and commercialize innovative PBM solutions to the market, including the first PBM narrow formulary.

AJ started his career in pharmaceutical sales, where he worked with IDNs and health systems to support P&T decisions and pull thru formulary products. AJ also spent several years at Hewitt consulting for fortune 500 employers with designing and managing their pharmacy and health benefits.
