Violence is a significant public health issue in the United States. As essential partners to their communities in the effort to improve health and well-being, hospitals are key stakeholders in this issue. This report discusses the financial impact to hospitals and health systems of dealing with all types of violence within their facilities and communities to better illustrate the enormity of violence as a public health problem.
