
Kim Ren
Kim Ren is a consulting actuary with the Milwaukee office of Milliman. She joined the firm in 2023, and currently works remotely from the greater Seattle area.
Experience
Kim has almost 10 years of experience working in the healthcare consulting industry. Her primary experience focuses on employer-sponsored medical and pharmacy benefits and population health management in both the United States and Asia-Pacific markets. She also has experience providing actuarial opinions and consulting services for carriers and providers in the United States market.
Kim has been passionate about fostering innovations, bringing new solutions and go-to-market strategies to clients across the healthcare spectrum. In the employer-sponsored benefits space, Kim helps numerous clients in managing both local and global benefits cost, while improving population health. Kim’s client engagements include, but are not limited to, budget projection, employee contribution modeling, claim experience reporting, benchmarking and trend analysis, benefit design modeling, provider and network strategy, stop-loss, and captive feasibility studies.
Kim also provides independent reviews on carrier and vendor solution outcomes and effectiveness. In the carrier and provider space, Kim has experience working with clients in revenue impact analysis from risk adjustment programs in the Medicare and commercial markets, conducting end-to-end data testing and data process system evaluations, performing gap analysis on provider coding performance, and reviewing CMS Medicare Advantage bids for large national carriers. Kim also has experience in conducting synergy analysis to support merger and acquisition projects.
Prior to working in the actuarial consulting space, Kim worked in academia for a few years after obtaining her doctoral degree in mathematics.
