Current Responsibility

Kenta Takashima joined Milliman in October, 2016 as a consultant in the Japan Healthcare and Data analytics practice.


At Milliman, Kenta works on these projects:

  • Analysis of the medical economic value of cancer drug treatments in Japan
  • Development of business models for a novel medical device in Japan.

Prior to joining Milliman, he researched rehabilitation science, regenerative medicine and gene therapy using bioelectronics. His work included:

  • Research and clinical work in rehabilitation as a physical therapist.
  • Research at Tohoku University in cell therapy for brain and spinal disease using biomaterials and phase-contrast computed tomography.
  • Research in gene therapy for spinal cord injury using optogenetics and implantable ultraflexible devices at Tokyo University.

Kenta has presented his work at domestic and international conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals. He has also served as a peer reviewer for academic journals.
