Claire Palmer

Claire’s areas of expertise include:

• Developing and managing API endpoints for Milliman PinPoint's geographic outputs related to flood and fire risk
• Creating pipelines for transforming large-scale telematics data into geospatial risk indicators
• Designing web maps using automated scripts and the Python Flask framework
• Developing Postgres/PostGIS databases for client deliverables
• Conducting spatial analysis to aid decision-making and actuarial modeling

Before joining Milliman, Claire served as the GIS coordinator for the Office of Emergency Management in the City of San Jose, where she developed GIS products and datasets to support incident response. Prior to that, she worked at Uber as a GIS analyst, focusing on the development of international basemap layers and data pipelines to align with a global roads model.
