Tanya has more than seven years of healthcare experience. Before joining Milliman, Tanya worked in the private health insurance industry in South Africa and the UK. Tanya’s key areas of experience include:
- Analysis of NHS regional healthcare economies with a particular focus on benchmarking, financial projections and population segmentation
- Developing capitation structures to enable risk sharing between NHS regional segments and private organisations
- Actuarial modelling for the pharmaceutical industry to measure the impact of antimicrobial resistance
- Investigations and reporting on drivers of claims experience and providing recommendations based on the resultant findings
- Using sophisticated risk adjustment techniques for provider profiling and experience analysis
- Independent reserving reviews for regulatory bodies
- Using modelling techniques to understand the relationship between demand and supply side factors
- Developing new fee structures for provider groups
