Samantha has a broad background in community health and management, having worked in several countries worldwide where she examined healthcare quality and access.
At Milliman, Samantha has worked on a variety of projects, including the development and management of business intelligence platforms designed for participants of the Medicare Bundled Payment for Care Improvement program, the Oncology Care Model, and the Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement Model. She oversees the execution of the technical specifications of these models in SAS, data visualization in QlikView, and quality control processes.
Samantha also has expertise in designing and managing research projects to analyze large health claims databases such as Truven Health Analytics MarketScan® Research databases and CMS' Standard Analytic Files (5%/100%). She has analyzed details of costs and resource use associated with specific disease states, such as multiple sclerosis and lung cancer, as well as cost/benefit evaluations.
Prior to joining Milliman, Samantha worked as the scientific grant coordinator at a large nonprofit organization in New York. Samantha also previously liaised with the New York Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to analyze data collected in environmental health studies.
