Experience
With over a decade of experience working in the P&C industry, Stephen brings proficiency in actuarial modelling, reserving, capital and reinsurance management, risk assessment, and strategic advisory projects. Much of Stephen's work has focused on using actuarial models, having applied this skillset working with reinsurance optimisation catastrophe modelling, internal capital modelling, M&A financial analysis, and innovative applications in nontraditional insurance sectors. Notably, Stephen recently led a project to build a new financial projection model for a major government insurance product. His modelling work demonstrates his ability to navigate environments with limited existing data or precedent benchmarks with a goal to validate the reasonableness of results.
Stephen has a keen interest in sustainability and public policy and actively participates in sustainability-related working parties within the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
- Stephen is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (FIA) and a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (FIAA), having completed the examinations in 2017.
