Yajie Zhao joined Milliman in October 2025 as a consultant in the Japan Healthcare and Data Analytics Practice. She is currently a member of the team providing medical economic assessments for pharmaceutical companies in Japan. Her focus includes:
- Reviewing past medical literature
- Researching current medical practices and treatments
- Writing research manuscripts for publication
Experience
Yajie Zhao initially joined Milliman in February 2024 as a part-time consultant in the Japan Healthcare and Data Analytics Practice. Prior to joining Milliman, she had four years of expertise in conducting real-world data analyses in the field of nutritional epidemiology. Her work achievements include:
- Implementing longitudinal and cross-sectional analyses using national health and nutrition survey data to provide epidemiological understanding of specific health problems
- Leading the execution of several complex research projects that required multiple tasks, data collection at different time points, and analysis stages
- Holding an internship focused on assessing genetic data for specific diseases such as hereditary cancer, epilepsy, neurofibroma, and generating reports on gene detection for different patients needing specific medication at a startup biotech company
Yajie has published multiple peer-reviewed articles in high-quality journals. She has also served as a peer reviewer for academic journals.
