Specifically, Mete worked on the following topics:

• Comparison of balance sheet items and policy attributes between the source and target admin systems in the context of portfolio migration
• Integration into the financial reporting processes of the target admin system infrastructure after portfolio migration
• Development and test of reference calculator tools for validation of balance sheet items
• Review of annual financial statements according to local GAAP
• Estimation of monthly financial statements
• Reporting to the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) and the Association of the German Insurance Industry (GDV)
• Solvency II Reporting (QRTs, SFCR, RSR)

Prior to joining Milliman, Mete worked for more than two years as an Assistant Manager at KPMG. In particular, he worked on the following tasks:

• Actuarial year-end-audit of life insurance and reinsurance companies in accordance with local GAAP, Solvency II, and IFRS
• Actuarial operative audit responsibility for the supervised clients
• Audit-related consulting of life insurance companies regarding Solvency II
• Quality assurance with respect to methodological and procedural aspects regarding the implementation of actuarial processes and valuations of medium-sized life insurance companies
• Audit of fair value assessment of life insurance companies according to the principles of IDW S1
• Audit of technical provision for pension liabilities in P&C insurance companies according to local GAAP and Solvency II
