Christopher Murphy

Chris Murphy leads sales, business development, and marketing efforts focused on driving growth and expanding MARA’s presence across the healthcare ecosystem. In this role, Chris is responsible for developing and executing sales and marketing strategies aligned with MARA’s growth objectives and brand positioning, building and managing a strong client pipeline, and strengthening strategic partnerships across healthcare payers, providers, integrators, and related markets. He collaborates closely with internal teams to drive consistent market messaging, strengthen MARA’s commercial positioning, and advance new client and partnership opportunities across the healthcare landscape.

Chris brings more than 30 years of healthcare experience across hospitals, health systems, payers, and the vendor and consulting space. Prior to joining MARA, he served as a senior healthcare consultant with Milliman’s New York office, advising clients on payment structures, value-based care initiatives, bundled payment models, and emerging reimbursement programs.

Before Milliman, Chris was a principal consultant at a healthcare improvement organization, where he focused on business development, thought leadership, and client management within the value-based care space, including the development of payer partnerships, provider networks, and innovative plan designs.

Earlier in his career, Chris spent over 15 years in the behavioral health sector, working across residential and vocational programs, provider relations, network management, and practice management. He later expanded his experience into revenue cycle management, provider credentialing for large physician groups and hospital systems, healthcare clearinghouse development, and the creation of bundled payment programs in highly competitive markets. This experience gives him a broad, end‑to‑end perspective on healthcare financing and operations.
