
Sandra Schrader
Sandra Schrader is a consulting actuary with Milliman’s Property and Casualty Dallas office and is based in Pennsylvania. She joined the firm in 2021.
Experience
Sandra's areas of expertise include:
- Loss reserving and ratemaking studies for insurance companies for both personal and commercial insurance lines of business, as well as actuarial support for collateral protection insurance examinations
- Personal and commercial lines product development, including rating, underwriting, and marketing strategies
- Product profitability and competitive analyses
- Reinsurance ratemaking for excess of loss treaties, quota share agreements, and loss portfolio transfers
- Enterprise and model risk management
- Economic capital modeling
Prior to joining Milliman in 2021, Sandra held a variety of actuarial positions spanning over 25 years in the Property and Casualty insurance industry, most recently holding the position of Vice President of Risk Management for a multi-regional insurance carrier. Previously, Sandra was the Chief Actuary for a regional commercial lines carrier in the southwest. Before these roles, Sandra was Vice President and Senior Pricing Actuary for a banking institution insurance division, responsible for forecasting the mortgage protection debt cancellation insurance product and ensuring the reasonability of the reserves.
