Jim Tumlinson

Prior to joining Milliman in 2006, he worked for Buck Consultants in Houston for 13 years, where he was a director and consulting actuary as well as the retirement practice manager. He also spent five years with Mercer as an actuarial analyst in Houston.

Jim has worked in the retirement consulting field since 1988, and his extensive experience includes:

• Preparing actuarial valuations for defined benefit plans and retiree medical plans for both private and public plan sponsors
• Developing cost projections to evaluate future business conditions and their impact on benefit programs
• Assisting plan sponsors with plan design strategies and cost implications
• Conducting nondiscrimination testing
