According to the Indonesia Insurance Statistics published by the Financial Services Authority, the Indonesian life insurance industry became loss making between the third quarter of 2018 and the third quarter of 2019. Over the third quarter of 2019, the Net Profit before other comprehensive income decreased by 370% as compared to the third quarter of 2018, caused mainly by decreases of 4% and 82% in Net Premium Income and Other Income respectively.
