While no one knows what will happen with COVID-19 in 2021, in the absence of a vaccine or other curative treatment, Medicare Advantage plans may be advised to consider possible impacts of the disease well into the future. This is especially relevant for supplemental benefits, some of which may become less valuable to members in the age of COVID-19 and some of which may become competitive advantages for plans that offer them.
