Pulse Survey: Mental health benefits
Survey: Since the pandemic began, 66% of employers report increased use of mental health resources offered through their benefits plan, and 62% indicate a significant spike in claim costs
In November 2021, Milliman released its fourth Hospital Indemnity (HI) Survey Premium Report. This report represents 33 carriers and $2.7 billion of inforce premium. The surveys explore numerous facets of the HI market, including sales and inforce, product profile, product features, offerings, target metrics, commissions and tech fees, enrollment and portability, pregnancy benefits, claims and billing, risks, competitors, popular benefits, and market topics. We provide trending information from previous surveys where available. Additionally, we segment data where appropriate by group, individual worksite, and individual non-worksite. We then synthesize this data to provide a high-level analysis of key market trends with consultant commentary. For more information, please contact David Bahlinger in our Tampa, Florida, office.
