Gabriela has provided actuarial and consulting services to a wide range of clients, including commercial insurers, reinsurers, Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans, HMOs, pharmaceutical companies, and other healthcare providers. She has extensive experience in pricing health plans, analyzing benefit utilization, forecasting medical trends, performing financial projections, and claim reserve analysis.
She has also worked with clients both on the health plan side and on the employer side regarding their Medicare products, particularly Medicare Advantage and Part D.
Prior to joining Milliman, Gabriela worked for a consulting firm, where she was involved in rate and reserve calculations, financial projections, profitability analysis, reinsurance contracts analysis, product development, and rate adequacy.
Her consulting with both plan sponsors and providers has included rate development and medical claim liabilities evaluation. In addition, Gabriela is proficient in Excel and other Windows tools such as Access.
