Kevin Pierce is a consulting actuary with the Healthcare Practice in Milliman’s Hartford office. He joined the firm in 2016.
Kevin contributes on a wide variety of projects for a diverse group of clients. Kevin’s actuarial experience includes pricing, reserving, and forecasting in the commercial and Medicare markets. Kevin also contributes in several non-actuarial roles, providing market intelligence and strategic support for clients in the healthcare industry.
Kevin has extensive experience in the Medicare Advantage market, with a concentration in Medicare Part D. Kevin leads the Part D bid development for both standalone Prescription Drug Plans (PDPs) and Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MAPD) plans. Kevin also provides strategic support, helping clients evaluate potential policy changes, forecast Part D low income benchmarks and national averages, assess new demonstration programs, and highlight competitive trends. Kevin supports CMS bid audits and develops feasibility studies for new market entrants in the Medicare Advantage market. Kevin’s experience also extends to the group Part D market, including Employer Group Waiver Plan (EGWP) pricing and strategy for both employers and pharmacy benefit managers.
